UPTM Strengthens Regional Ties at ASEAN+3 Cultural Harmony Night 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2025 — As part of the ASEAN+3 Forum on Women and Digitalisation 2025, Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) and the Institute for Rural Advancement (INFRA), hosted a prestigious Closing Networking Dinner at Saloma Bistro, Kuala Lumpur.
The evening was graced by YB Datuk Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Wang, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Pro-Chancellor of UPTM, whose presence underscored the government’s commitment to rural development, digital transformation, and women empowerment across the ASEAN region.
Held under the theme “ASEAN Cultural Harmony Night: Celebrating Traditions, Strengthening Ties,” the event gathered more than 200 international delegates from ASEAN member countries as well as ASEAN+3 dialogue partners — China, Japan, and South Korea.
The highlight of the night was a series of multicultural performances by UPTM students, showcasing the beauty of ASEAN diversity and symbolising the spirit of regional harmony and mutual respect. The lively and vibrant evening served as both a celebration of cultural unity and a platform for cross-border networking among regional leaders, diplomats, and educators.
Through this initiative, UPTM continues to strengthen its position as a regional strategic partner in both academic and professional spheres. The university remains committed to fostering international collaboration networks and producing globally competitive graduates equipped with the knowledge, values, and cross-cultural understanding essential for success in today’s interconnected world
