KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2025 — Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) continues to reaffirm its commitment to nurturing competitive and future-ready graduates through the Academia–Industry Collaboration (AIC) 3.0 2025: Celebrating UPTM Students’ Excellence and Future Career event.

The high-impact programme brought together more than 1,000 students, 50 strategic industry partners, and 17 renowned companies — offering vast opportunities for employment, industrial training, and professional networking. The event also witnessed the signing of 30 strategic collaborations between UPTM, industry partners, and international universities, strengthening global linkages and two-way cooperation between academia and industry.

A highlight of the event was the Majlis Apresiasi Siswa (MAS), which celebrated the achievements of 640 outstanding students in recognition of their dedication and academic excellence. The ceremony was graced by YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. Asyraf Wajdi bin Dato’ Dusuki, Chairman of MARA and Pro-Chancellor of UPTM, who emphasized MARA’s role in fortifying the higher education ecosystem grounded in knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The event also featured a special session, “In Person with Doc Zam”, with YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry bin Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education — an inspiring open dialogue that motivated UPTM students to remain progressive, principled, and compassionate in shaping their future careers.

Adding to the significance of the day, UPTM officially launched its new Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence (Honours) programme — a strategic move that aligns with Malaysia’s push toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0).

During the session, the National Roundtable Resolution on Humanitarian Education was also presented to the Minister as a symbol of collective commitment to strengthening values-based and human-centered education in higher learning institutions. Through strategic partnerships, visionary leadership, and an unwavering spirit of humanity, UPTM continues to drive the development of holistic, globally minded human capital in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.

Distinguished guests in attendance included YBhg. Dato’ Zulfikri bin Osman, Director-General of MARA and Pro-Chancellor of UPTM; Mr. Zahari bin Aziz, Deputy Director-General of MARA; Mrs. Lailatul Asmah binti Mohd Tahir, Director of Strategic Management Division (Acting Deputy Director-General of MARA); Mr. Yahaya bin Sani, Group CEO of MARA Corporation and Adjunct Professor of UPTM; Assoc.
