ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Doctor of Philosophy in Education offered by UPTM is designed to equip scholars the ability to conduct and produce high-level research that advances knowledge. IGS UPTM will be the place where we will guide our researchers by enabling a collaborative and supportive environment. This is in addition to the supervision provided by experienced faculty staff. The programme offers a range of specialised areas, which include Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and Applied English Language studies. Pursuing a PhD in Education will allow candidates to gain the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to become researchers and experts in their chosen fields.
Minimum Requirement :
Master's Degree in Related Field(Level 7, MQF)
A Master's degree in related fields as accepted by UPTM Senate.
Bachelor's Degree in Non-Related Field(Level 7, MQF)
A Master’s degree in non-related field as accepted by UPTM Senate and with relevant , working experience8 subject to a rigorous internal assessment;
OR
A Master’s degree in non-related fields as accepted by UPTM Senate and without working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.
Others
Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) as accepted by UPTM Senate.
English Competency Requirement (International Student):
IELTS 6.5
OR
TOEFL 550
The validity period for TOEFL and IELTS is TWO (2) years from the date of the award.
