KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26, 2025 — The Youth Orator Club (YOC UPTM) has made Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) proud by securing a spot among the Top 8 teams out of 60 public and private universities across Malaysia in the ASEAN-level Prime Minister’s Integrity Debate 2025.

Represented by Shahir Madzlan, Tasnim Ayusyah, Jannatul Insyirah, and Aesya Sofea, the team stood out as the only private university (IPTS) team to advance to the Top 24 after the preliminary league rounds — and went on to record impressive victories in both the pre-quarterfinal and quarterfinal stages.

Adding to the triumph, Tasnim Ayusyah and Jannatul Insyirah were each named Best Debater of their respective sessions, highlighting UPTM’s growing excellence in oratory and critical thinking on a national and ASEAN stage.

The debate, hosted by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) from 24 to 26 October 2025, gathered some of the brightest young minds to discuss themes of integrity and leadership in the ASEAN region.
