Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence (Honours) (CC204)
The Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence (Honours) equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to design, develop and manage AI solutions. The programme combines a foundation in programming, mathematics and computing with machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning and generative AI.
Through laboratory sessions, project-based learning, a final year project and industrial training, students apply AI techniques to real-world problems. The programme also develops communication, teamwork, entrepreneurship and responsible AI practices. Graduates can pursue careers in intelligent system development and related AI fields, or continue to postgraduate study.

DURATION: 3 YEARS (9 SEMESTERS)

- STPM (Arts Stream): minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects; OR
- STAM: minimum Grade Jayyid in any TWO (2) subjects; OR
- Matriculation or Foundation studies: minimum CGPA 2.00; OR

- Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
- Mathematics AND one Science, Technology or Engineering subject at SPM level or its equivalent. Candidates must take and pass reinforcement Mathematics equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics, offered in the first semester or before enrolment with an unconditional offer.
Diploma in Science and Technology (Level 4 MQF): minimum CGPA 2.75. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50 may be admitted subject to rigorous assessment.
For routes i to iv, candidates must also have a credit in: OR
- STPM (Science Stream) or equivalent: minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in Mathematics and ONE (1) Science or ICT subject; OR
- Diploma in Computing (Level 4 MQF) or equivalent: minimum CGPA 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to rigorous assessment; OR
- DKM or DVM in Computing: minimum CGPA 2.50, subject to Senate or Academic Board approval; OR
- DLKM in Computing: minimum CGPA 2.50, subject to Senate or Academic Board approval; OR
- Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government. The qualification must include Mathematics equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics. Otherwise, reinforcement Mathematics must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with an unconditional offer.
ADDITIONAL ENTRY CONDITIONS
Students must pass reinforcement Mathematics before taking related core courses. Matriculation or Foundation graduates may be exempted if their Mathematics is equivalent to, or above, SPM Additional Mathematics.
Candidates who do not pass the internal assessment may be required to complete preparatory courses, subject to Senate or Academic Board approval.
ENGLISH COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International applicants must achieve a minimum MUET Band 3.5 or its equivalent at CEFR High B1. Applicants who do not meet this requirement must be offered English proficiency courses to achieve the proficiency needed for the programme.
