ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Master of Education (TESL) program at Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) is a postgraduate degree designed to cultivate advanced knowledge and skills in Teaching English as a Second Language. This program is meticulously developed to address the needs of educators and researchers, equipping them with theoretical and practical expertise for English education in diverse settings.

Minimum Requirement :
i. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, as accepted by the HEP’s Senate; or
ii. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
iii. A Bachelor Degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subjected to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the related fields; and
iv. For International candidates, they need to have at least a score of 550 in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 6.50 in International English Language Test System (IELTS). The validity period for TOEFL and IELTS is two years from the date of the award.
