GENERAL RULES(a) Students are not allowed to drive on campus exceeding the speed limit set by the university.(b) Students are only permitted to drive on routes designated by the university.(c) Students are not allowed to park in any location that may cause obstruction or inconvenience to any person or other vehicles.(d) Students are only allowed to park in designated parking spaces.(e) A student riding a motorcycle is not permitted to carry more than one pillion rider.(f) A motorcyclist is only allowed to carry one pillion rider of the same gender.47. TRAFFIC REGULATIONSStudents must comply with all traffic regulations issued by the university and/or local authorities.48. PRESENTATION OF DRIVER%u2019S LICENCEAny student operating a vehicle must carry a valid driver%u201fs licence as required under the Road Traffic Ordinance 1958 or its amendments and present it for inspection by university authorities.49. OBSTRUCTION OF TRAFFICA student must not behave in any manner or perform any action that obstructs or disrupts the smooth and orderly flow of traffic within the campus.50. APPLICATION OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE 1958 OR ITS AMENDMENTS(a) The Road Traffic Ordinance 1958 or its amendments, along with all subsidiary legislation enacted under it, shall apply to students within the campus as if the campus roads were public roads in Malaysia. Offences under this Ordinance shall be considered disciplinary offences in relation to students and may be subject to disciplinary action. Therefore, every student must adhere to these regulations while on campus.(b) Nothing in sub-clause 50(a) shall reduce the liability of any student or other persons on campus for any offence under the Road Traffic Ordinance 1958 or its amendments, or any subsidiary legislation enacted under it.Student Handbook and Disciplinary Regulations of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia
