                                    18 (iv) To be represented in anybody that may, according to regulations set by the University Board for that purpose, be appointed to manage student welfare activities at the university; and (v) To carry out any other activities determined by the University Management Committee  from time to time.(j) The SRC may manage any funds or collect any money or property from any source, subject to  the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.(k) The Treasurer shall maintain proper financial statements for the SRC, and no later than three  months after the end of each financial year, as determined by the Vice-Chancellor, a copy of  these financial statements shall be submitted by the SRC to the Vice-Chancellor.(l) The SRC shall hold meetings from time to time as deemed necessary, and it is the Secretary%u201fs  duty to keep minutes of each SRC meeting, with the minutes to be confirmed at the following  meeting.(m) For the purposes of this section: %u201cRegistered student%u201d means a student enrolled in a course of study at the university for a degree,  diploma, or certificate, but does not include external students. %u201cExternal student%u201d means a student registered at an overseas branch campus or one enrolled  in short-term, part-time, exchange, or associate programmes, whether within or outside  Malaysia. %u201cExamination%u201d includes any form or method of assessment that results in a score or grade for  a particular course or part of a course.A registered student shall cease to be a registered student under this section when: (i) The student passes the final examination of their course of study; or (ii) The student fails the final examination in a given semester and does not re-enrol for the  following semester.15. ESTABLISHMENT OF STUDENT BODIES/ASSOCIATIONS(a) No fewer than ten (10) students, with prior approval from the Vice-Chancellor and subject to any  terms and conditions determined by the Vice-Chancellor, may establish a student body consisting of students for a specific purpose or interest within the university.(b) A student body established under sub-clause 16(a) shall elect its office holders at its annual general meeting.Student Handbook and Disciplinary Regulations of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia
