14(d) A student and any society, organisation, body, or group of students established by, under, or in accordance with the constitution may not make statements or take any actions that can reasonably be understood as supporting, sympathising with, or opposing: (i) Any association, organisation, body, or group that is unregistered/illegal, whether inside or outside Malaysia; or (ii) Any association, organisation, body, or group that the Registrar General of PHEI determines and stipulates in writing to the Vice-Chancellor as being incompatible with the interests and well-being of students or the university.(e) It is the responsibility of the Vice-Chancellor to present to the students, as well as to student organisations, bodies, or groups, the names of organisations, bodies, or groups of people determined by the Registrar General of PHEI under sub-clauses 8(b)(ii), (c)(ii), and (d)(ii) as being incompatible with the interests and well-being of the students or the university.(f) Nevertheless, a student shall not be prohibited from: (i) Making a statement on academic matters related to the subject they are studying or researching through the channels permitted by the university; or (ii) Expressing their opinion on matters mentioned in sub-clause 8(f)(i) at seminars, symposiums, or similar events not organised or sponsored by unregistered/illegal associations, organisations, bodies, or groups, either within or outside Malaysia, or by associations, organisations, bodies, or groups determined by the Registrar General of PHEI under sub-clauses 8(b)(ii), (c)(ii), and (d)(ii) as being incompatible with the interests and well-being of students or the university.(g) Any student association, organisation, body, or group under sub-clauses 8(b), 8(c), or 8(d) will be dealt with in accordance with Section 49 of Act 555.(h) Notwithstanding the actions taken under sub-clause 8(g), any student who violates clause 8 may also be subject to university disciplinary action.Student Handbook and Disciplinary Regulations of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia
